If you are a new training client with us, each new relationship starts with a consultation so we can meet your dog, discuss your goals, and create a training plan together.
We don’t just train your dog — we train your family. We encourage everyone in the household to attend training sessions: kids, partners, even the friend who dog-sits. When the whole family uses the same words, the same rewards, and the same boundaries, your dog hears one clear message instead of mixed signals. That consistency is what makes the training stick.
Whether your family is one person or ten, it takes a village. We’ll show you how to bring everyone in so your dog becomes a well-rounded member of your family — not just a pet you manage alone.
Consultation required
All new training clients begin with a consultation so we can meet your dog, discuss your goals, assess personality, gauge challenges, and create a training plan together.
Group Training Classes
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, Small Breed/Large Breed, and Advanced Obedience. A great option for folks looking for obedience classes in a group setting. We recommend dogs with high excitement or reactivity concerns start in private lessons first.
Private Lessons at Homemade Hounds
Our most popular option. Our trainers focus on you and your dog one-on-one. Great for those with excitement, reactivity, and high drive to achieve calm control and work toward success in group settings.
Private Lessons in your home
Our training staff travels to your home to work one-on-one. While we offer this option, we find that most issues are better addressed outside the home.
Board & Train Program
A great kick-start program for those who would like our training staff to help set behavior or obedience imprinting while your dog stays with us.
Vaccinations required
All dogs must be current and up to date on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella, and Leptospirosis (for dogs over 35 lbs). Please bring proof of current vaccinations to your first session, and keep them current throughout your training program.
